The best book I read on productivity – Four Thousand Weeks

Before I read this book, I dreamed of visiting every European country, learning the Ukulele, writing a blog, moving to US/Japan/Switzerland, start hobbies such as running, rock climbing, hiking, cooking, painting, journaling, etc.

I always thought the only thing stopping me was my productivity skills. I could do everything on my to-do list if I had more discipline and better to-do list management skills. I just needed the right tools. That’s what all the other productivity books promised me: a better way to manage my to-do list.

This book opened my eyes to the reality: my to-do list is too big and it’s impossible to finish them all. There isn’t enough time. There isn’t enough life. We only have 4000 weeks and I have used up over 1600 weeks already!

Life feels long but when you view it as a calendar (like here) it feels so short! And that’s the truth. Life is short and we can’t do everything we want to do in life. We have to be intentional and selective. We have to prioritize⭐.
