While planning my 1500+ mile Isle of Skye road trip, I stumbled upon this gold nugget: a map showing all the motorway services in the UK.
This has been a game-changer in planning routes. For some reason, Google maps can’t find motorway services normally. It keeps showing me fuel stations if I search for “service stations”. So I had to find service stations on the spot while driving.
With the map above, I can now plan a route on Google My Maps and import the motorway services information into it to see which ones fall over my route. I can then select the ones that divide the route into equal chunks.
